Live Oak Photography has been selected  as a volunteer photographer for Magic Hour. The Magic Hour Organization is a national network of professional photographers who look to serve individuals and families fighting cancer. Magic Hour assists families by matching them with professional photographers and coordinating a photo session to celebrate the truly important things in life through photography. These charitable portrait sessions provide an opportunity for families to feel special and strong while they relax, smile and enjoy time with loved ones. For me to become part of such an amazing organization and have the opportunity to meet and photograph couregous families around South Texas battling cancer is both an amazing and humbling experience.

Hospice Sessions

Live Oak Photography in addition to working with Magic Hour also offers free of charge life celebration portraits to hospice patients and their immediate family affected by illnesses not cancer related. These sessions are availability based, as time and schedules through the year vary. As much as I would like to accomodate everyone, it simply is not always possible. Sessions can be done in home or in hospice care facility with facility permission. Sessions are meant to capture the bond and enduring love of your family. Portraits are documentary in nature capturing casual interaction between the family such as holding hands, hugging, or reading. Patients who are ambulatory may wish to schedule sessions outside or at a location that has a special meaning. Each session is customized to the individual and family to provide quality portraits in a way that creates a lasting memory.  Sessions usually last under an hour with 8-10 images provided.
